Post by: Grobec1 on February 15, 2012, 07:48:13 PM
Have a mossberg 835 with a Stardot choke, any suggestions on what shell will give the best pattern? Put the Stardot on my gun 2 years ago and have been shootong win high velocity #6's the pattern has improved alot from the factory choke, just wondering if you guys have any experience with this set up.

No lead has shot better through mine than the 3.5" HV 2oz 6's.

Barrel polished up good?  What numbers are you getting?

Can't remember the numbers left the target at my camp but the pattern was a lot denser and more pellets in the 10" circle at 40 yards with the stardot. Plan on deep cleaning my barrel and will try it again when I get back up there.

Any of Winchester's #6 loads works well in the 835/SD combo.
