Now that you guy's have something new to play with let's be sure we take some precautions so that we don't wind up sick.
My normal routine is to wash them off under the kitchen faucet and then I lay em on a paper towel and let them dry overnight.
Your mouth is "full" of nasty bacteria that can really make you sick if your not careful and the one thing that bacteria loves is a wet environment. A mouthcall that is used and just stuck back in a case wet is asking for trouble. Rinsing them off will wash quite a bit of the bacteria away and then allowing it to dry will help with the rest of it. If you're sick be sure to soak your call's in a medium like Scope or Listerine. I've actually used a weak bleach solution in the past. But even with them I always soak for about 15 min. , then wash under faucet and let em dry out. I don't bother with separating the reeds either. They will break loose in less than a min. when you run em in the morning which gives you a chance to do a little warming up enroute to your hunting grounds. This is a serious matter because your call's can and will make you sick. Take care of them.

Yep. but I wouldn't leave in there for more than a half hr. or so. The mouthwash can really make em stick. I would rinse em off with clean water after the mouthwash and let em dry out overnight.
Thanks for the instructions on how to take care of them. I have always just used them and thrown them back into the case and into the fridge. lol nock on wood never been sick from them either.
Thanks for the tips Dan, I was wondering how to properly care for them. Unfortunately, I've ruined several in the past due to putting them away with moisture present.
I like to rinse mine off after I have practiced with them and after I get back in from hunting, seems to make them last longer also. Thanks Dan for the reminder.
ive been rinsing mine off with the rain soft foucet and laying them on a clean towel i was thinking about useing mouth wash but thought it might mess them up thanks dan

Good Advice Dan. A buddy of mine got a horrific sore throat a few seasons ago, and I'm sure his bacteria infested diaphrams had a lot to do with it.
