Well, you have a number of excellent chokes to choose from. Indian Creek, Pure Gold, SumToy, Stardot, just to name a few.
If you can find a stardot for your 835, snap it up. I have run a PG .670 and a Jellyhead .690 in mine, and both patterned well.
Since I am always looking to improve, I picked up a SumToy .675 after seeing some patterns on here. I will be able to give an accurate assesment of that choke come March/ April.
Hope this helps. From what I have seen, it seems a choke from .670-.675 are the best in the 835.

That's good info Chatter.

And don't overlook the TruGlo .670 SSX choke.  For the money, it has been one of the best shooting chokes I have shot in the 835.

Pure Gold or Sumtoy. As Brad mentioned if you a on a budget the TruGlo SSX is a good one, it's made overseas though.

I don't own one, but gather from others that your getting a good product at a fair price from a great guy that stands behind anything he ships out.

I would say go to Gobbler Guns web site and order from them. They will work with you until it is the way you like it. Talk to Rob. It is 75.00 plus shipping for a choke and replaced with another until it works for you.

Hard to beat that deal.

I'm seeing my best results in the 835, 935 and SSi-ONE with either the SSX or the Hevi-13 turkey chokes. Both deliver excellent patterns.

Thanks,
Clark

If that is a MAD Max .680 choke you need to try some 3.5" Hevi-13 2.25oz #6 loads in it.  Heck even if it's the .690 it should still shoot the 6's very well.  I have the MAD Max .680 and I only shot it once so far with these loads and it put 243 shot in a 10" at 40yds.
