Title: Wet weather strikers ?
Post by: The Cohutta Strutter on February 11, 2012, 06:31:20 PM
I have a crystal surface and anodized aluminum surface pot calls. Will be adding a copper pot in the future. Looking for suggestions on material type for strikers that will work well in rainy/wet conditions with these pots. I know carbon is one but are there any other material types I should consider? I really don't want to mess with or try to waterproof my current wood and laminate strikers unless someone knows of a slick way of doing it without affecting the performance of the striker when they are run again on a  dry pot. Thanks, David.

I have a friend who makes corian tipped strikers that work real well when wet. Diamondwood will also work. Pic is corian tip strikers. Bill (http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a336/callmakerman/newpics003.jpg)
