Title: Photos of Benelli M2 with drilled/tapped receiver?
Post by: XCBlur on February 09, 2012, 09:23:08 AM
I am going to have a gunsmith drill and tap my Benelli M2 receiver for top scope mount.  I know there is a version of this gun that comes from the factory drilled and tapped.  Can someone post a pic of the top of their gun if it came drilled/tapped?  I would like to position the holes in the same location as a factory one, so if you could post the distance to one of the holes from one end of the receiver, it would be appreciated.

Benelli will probably give you that info if you call them. I called before having my Nova d and t'd and they were very helpful. Maybe they will tell you what mount they use.

Have already contacted Benelli. They could not find the dimensions in any literature, and they had no 20GA slug guns (currently the only version M2 that has a drilled/tapped receiver) in stock.  Said it would be a couple of months before the received any.

I saw someone on here showing off their 20gauges, and their M2 had a scope on it, looked to be on a Weaver "like/type" base on the receiver, maybe they will post up this information, as I would like to know as well.
