Title: started scouting
Post by: camp man on February 08, 2012, 09:25:58 PM
I have started scouting the Fl. panhandle areas where I hunt since I have had reports of gobbling around here already. I went this morning and it is true. I heard three differentbirds and saw several sets of drag marks in a couple of different places. This warm weather seems to be firing the boys up!!!We are still a month out until youth weekend here.....

I imagine that got your blood pumping. I wonder what you'll be thinking about for the next month.

I always hear turkeys gobbling when I duck hunt but only on the roost. Last week they were gobbling hard on the ground.

I spent four hours at my lease Tuesday and never saw so much as a track.  It's a bit early but I'm worried all the gas drilling in the area may have run some of our flock off.
