I saw 11 gobblers in one field and 5 more across the branch yesterday at 10am. Today at 11am same 75 acre field saw maybe 30 turkeys with 5 or 6 struttin birds. Drove the truck within 40 or 50 yds before they walked SLOWLY into the pine woods. When they were out of sight, I got out and hooted...he gobbled back from maybe 75yds. Maybe this cooler weekend weather will slow them down a bit.

I saw about 30 birds today in a field. I was too far away to tell if there were any gobblers in there, but I could tell that none of the birds were strutting.

Hopefully the hens wont be ready to breed...maybe the boys will just show off but thats it.
