Title: Kingwood Six Sider Trumpet
Post by: C_W on February 08, 2012, 04:59:46 PM
Here is a decorative entry to Nationals. You may look at it and say whats so special about it? Well it's going into the Turned Only category. I used a age old method of turning that has been long forgotten in this modern society. It was a method developed hundreds of years ago to help craftsman speed up the process of making ax and hammer handles. I tweeked their method slightly and developed a way to make an almost flat sided turkey call. It has been a real fun project, with the research and history making it all that much more rewarding. Again turned 100% on the lathe I give you "The Six Sider".

That one should have a few eyes locked on it. Great looking call.
