I'd like to get a 20 gauge before turkey season this year and have narrowed it down to these two models. Does anyone have good experience with either in terms of patterning. I know the mossberg has adjustable sights, has anyone had point of impact issues with a Nova? Thanks in advance for the information.
They all have poa/poi issues.
I would go with a Mossberg
Made in America and it is tougher than nails :OGturkeyhead:

amen to that
my whole problem with mossberg is that rattling forarm. I have a 500c this is probably 15 years old and it rattles like crazy. Maybe the new ones are better?
My mossberg 20 is a turkey killer! I get 170+ patterns with the IC 555 and Fed HW 7's and as stated above it is made in the USA!
All,
Thank you for the posts and the pms. The information you've provided is very helpful!

A Double Amen to that!!!!!
Benelli Nova 20 ga. full camo 24" barrel. I have one and really like it. Made in Italy and tough as nails. ;D
Lots n Lots of folks that would be well pleased to spend a morning in the turkey woods with either one of them. ;)
Both will shoot and kill a turkey provided they don't here the rattling forearm from the next county. They BOTH rattle to beat the band. Get an 870 if you want a pump, you wont regret it. I suppose if those were for some reason the only choice I would buy the mossy because they will take a lickin'.
Nova

My Nova forearm doesn't rattle!!!! :icon_thumright:
Neither does mine!
Another vote for the Nova. I paired mine with an IC .555 and love it. Only thing I would do different would be go get the youth Nova instead of the regular.
