Finally got the sound and somewhat near the looks I want in a trumpet. Finished this one tonight. Oregon myrtle body, nickel .308 ferule and a buffalo horn mouthpiece. Not to blow my own horn, but that thing sounds really good

Thanks guys, wish I could take all the credit, but mudpuppi helped me alot and so did Del. This is the easiest running trumpet I have made yet and I couldnt have done it without them. The next one will be more artistic in shape, but the sound will be the same

Misfire turkey hunting ain't art work man that look says it all dude! Any trumpet is art, it doesn't have to have all that I really like it. Looks nice and clean as long as it sounds like a turkey it's a home run!! Don't take me wrong bout art work just saying the look its got looks great buddy!!! :you_rock:

Great yelp and rollover, easy kee kee too. One day I will learn how to do a soundfile. May have to send it to Del and let him do one for me

Oops, couldnt help it Del. Just gives me a reason to make another one. I have a piece of desert ironwood and some coffee burl that I cant wait to throw on the lathe
