Just curious how many folks here use a golf cart to get around and cover more ground. I myself think that its the best investment I made a few years ago next to a gun and calls. If you got one, post up some pictures of it. I love seeing hunting buggies.
Here's mine. It's an '03 Club Car
Been looking for one. I will have one for next year.
People look at me funny when I strap my gun to this.

:TooFunny: I don't blame them!!! :TooFunny:
Used Bad Boys and Club Car,really impressed with both.Way better than 4 wheelers in my opinion, but you are limited in where they will go.The battery life was good, even in NW Nebraska in some rugged country.
Travis, i missed out on a good buy on an 04 last week, was working days and couldn't get over there, looking for one for the wife around the house with her prosthetic leg and brace on the other one, she wants one to ride to see the grandson, but could also use it for turkey hunting, but on our club i can walk the whole thing easily

Maybe once all the deer and turkey hunting is over, there may be some carts rigged out come up for sale. I'm sure she will get a lot of use out of it as well as yourself. I usually get on mine every day. I drive mine all over the little town we live in (it's little guys) and we just enjoy taking evening rides down some of the backroads too. I'll never go without one again.
Imaginative manurfacturing makes a 4wd conversion for clubcars, its a polaris 4x4 4wheeler frontend I think. the sky is the limit on these things. You could build a cart lots cheeper than ready built rigs. Who has the time though when you could be making turkey calls!
I built one up a couple of years ago but have not hunted out of it. If I go with a buddy to his lease I will carry it as it is about 1800 acres and the birds are spread out. Here are a couple of pic's of the before, during, and after the build.

sweet rig pullit! I bought a Bad Boy a couple years ago when they had the 5K federal government rebate on them. Mr Obama thinks that I went green with my street legal Bad Boy. Thanks Mr Pres
I had a bad Boy up until a two months ago. It was a love hate relationship. I was glad to see her go. I will have another brand soon though.

I looked at that conversion. It looks like the same unit they put on the Stealth 4x4. I really havent been in a situation where I needed a 4WD. The couple times I have been stuck was because of being high centered. Hopefully this summer, I plan on doing some motor/controller upgrades to it just to get a little more torque out of it and possibly a little more speed.
I am looking for one too.
I just ain't seeing it.
How are you getting the turkeys to stay still long enough to kill them with the golf cart?
:goofball:
On a serious note, I'd love to have one.
God Bless,
David B.

You shoot them while they are putting..No need to thank me, David. It's what I do..Mike ;) :toothy12:
It's easy. Just get the new 48 volt squealing hen mounted on the front bumper.
One question. Do you have to hollar "FORE" before you shoot? ;)
I usually wait and holler it after I shoot.
Dang John, nice bling. Although, I figured you for a spinners type of guy.
They are great to have for sure. I wouldn't mind buying one to hunt, but I hunt large areas and prefer to cover ground with my truck. I may set up in one spot, then walk back to the truck and try another spot a few miles away(10k acre club and 30k+ WMA). May strike a bird on the 3rd set-up of a morn some days.
We've had one on the farm for about 5 years and it's been a champ. I love that thing.
My cousin tricked one out similar to pullit's last deer season and he seems pleased with it. BTW a winch works just fine on 16v
There's an EZGO dealer in town and they always have them tricked out on display. Sure gets tempting at times.

My lift kit is called the Super Sport made by All Sport. It was $350 through a company selling on Ebay. Great lift kit and took about 2 hours to remove the old lift kit and install the new one. No cutting or welding. All bolt on stuff. You can find wheel and tire combo's in the neighborhood of $300 and up. There are a ton of extras you can add onto it. Just depends on how much you want to sink. Upgraded hi torque motors and controllers, wiring for better pull up hills and mud. Baskets, flip flop rear seats for carrying cargo. Winches, fender flares, windshields, enclosures, heaters, solar panels, radio's. It's a fun little critter to build up. I've got around 3 grand total in my cart. Great for hunting turkey, deer or hogs.
My dad just won a HuntVe, so I reckon I'll give it a run!!!
How lucky is that! I need to send him some calls and shells of mine so he can rub some luck on them. Did he win it at the convention?
I've got a lifted gas cart that is very quiet. I can get to one gobbling from a long distance pretty quickly. I guess I would prefer an electric one to tell you the truth.
Golf carts are the way to go IMO.
Travis, we have two Kawasaki Mules, a Polaris Ranger, a Badboy, and a modified ClubCar golf cart that we call the " Goodboy" buggy. The Clubcar is by far our favorite and the least expensive.
Here's a few pics.

You got it goin on Ronnie!!! I know a lot of dead birds have ridden in the back of the Goodboy buggy.
I got my a lot of ideas and parts from http://www.buggiesgonewild.com/
I put #2 welding cable on my batteries, an 850 amp controller, upgraded the rear springs and shocks, put on a lift kit, and changed out the 2 hp stock motor to an 11 hp motor. I also went from 36 volts to 48 volts. I built new roof supports for the back as well as the stack side box on the back.
When all was said and done, I think I have about $3500 +/= a couple hundred in it including the cost of the cart.
Here are a couple of "in process" pictures....

No, it was through an N W T F draw though, he got the call from Preston Pittman on christmas eve telling him he won! Pretty cool, he now has one of every Pittman game call as well, and he is getting setup with a full supply of long leaf camo!
He didn't bring much turkey luck last year, but he is one of the luckiest people I know...first goose he ever killed had a band!
