Title: Ol' Tom Technical Turkey pants?
Post by: Tail Feathers on February 05, 2012, 11:58:00 PM
Anyone use them?  Do they work as good as the ad makes 'em sound?

I'd love to travel lighter, with just one pot call in the pants pocket, a camelbak with water and some mouth calls in my pocket.  Anyone here use them?  What says the brightest group of turkey hunters on the net?

Wife got me the shirt for Christmas.  Looks like it would work pretty good.  I was thinking of picking up the pants in nashville this weekend.  Shirt has the magnet hookup on it.  they make a cushion with decoy pad.  So you could go completely without a vest.

I been using Ol'Tom clothing for over 6 years and it does work very good. I've got shirts, pants and even my turkey vest that are all Ol'Tom. Really great products. You won't regret buying or using Ol'Tom clothing at all.

"Ol Tom is great equipment. I have several pieces. They do tend to run on the small side, so order the next size bigger and it should give you a nice fit.

I love the Ol Tom pants. One thing I've noticed is they have gone to a thinner material since they first came out and the price has came down to $50 vs $80. It's hard to tell if durabilty has decreased because all four pair that I have are all still holding together well. I love the pocket layout and use every pocket but the box call pocket. One thing I do dislike about them is the fit! I'm a 32" waist and the larges are too big and the mediums are slightly too tight. They may fit you like a glove tho...

I like em.  They dont seem to fade but as others have mentioned they do run a little small.  Overall a great product.

I like them.  They definitely run small.    Also,  the slate pouch is too small to fit any of my slates.

I like the water proof knees and butt but don't care for the knee pads (they are removable).  The color holds up good and durability is good, fit is a little small I think. Pockets are more of a selling point than practical for me.  Overall, I'd recommend them if for nothing else but the water proof sections.

You all said that they run small. Would I be okay with a medium if I normally wear a 34x32? I would I be better off getting them in a Large?

Definitely get a Large.  I wear 32  and mediums are snug on me.
