Well it sounds like you are in the same shape as 75% of the hunters out there today, wanting to expand your arsenal, and looking to improve your luck in th field by doing so. I would suggest you get yourself a pot that will out last those from the past, there are som many great call makers here to help you,  myself, I would investigate a ceramic pot as they are pretty much maintenance free, or an anodized aluminum for super loud work on the windy days, scartch boxes are great tools to add, easy to use, and pretty well inexpensive, or for those close and quiet calls, one of my Purrin' Cans will fit great in your vest.....there are a lot of choices to be made nased on your wants, so don't get caught up the fever but look to your needs first, long boxes are the cannons of the field, they can blow those toms out of their hiding spots or sweet talk them away from a hen, try one of these, but as with all calls, practice is so important, if you have any questions for me, just pm me...pappy...good luck.

Copper does have a unique sound to it,   bead blasted aluminum is a surface that will get soft or lound.  Either surface would be great

You may wanna give a nice crystal call a try. That high pitch really seems to get a birds attention.
