Title: 2o ga chokes
Post by: pdqt on February 04, 2012, 10:26:54 AM
Hey guys    This may be a question for Sumtoy.  Has anyone tried two  chokes that are the same brand, same diameter, same everything, in one gun to see if they shoot the same??  I am going to have to get a replacement choke, and was just wondering what to expect.

Thanks

You see some point of impact and some pattern change with the mass produced products.   You see some say one size but be something else.   It becomes a money thing with some folks.   I think with the IC and PG choke you be ok.  Only thing I like to know is if the patterns changed with the IC after they came out with the SS choke.   I ask this because our target chokes had to be changed some to get the patterns back after we swap them to the 17-4 from the CM.  Now one thing to keep in mind is if you had a choke that was broke in and test a new one.   This will be a test that should be did with both chokes new or both shot about the same.   That the only way to be fare to whatever choke brand you try this with.

Just my opinion hope it helps

Hi Sumtoy   you know some of the guys are shooting the 4mm or 4.5mm tss for deer yotes or whatever.   What choke size would you reccomend for both 20 and 12 ga.

Thanks
