I have a Benelli SBEII 26" with a rhino .660 choke. I ordered some h51013a 4x5x7 3.5 inch loads from Nitro company. i have heard this combination patterns very good but havent seen it for myself yet. Does anyone else shoot this setup? and do these Nitro shells have enough downrange energy to kill birds consistently at 50 yards?
I shot this exact setup some last year except for a 28" barrel rhino .660 and numbers hovered around 210-250 at 40 yards in a 10" for me I ended up going to hevi shot 3.5" #7 just because it was a little cheaper and easier to find shells for. my poa and poi was off on my sbe2, it kept patterning to the right. some williams firesights and it was good to go and one of my birds last year was around 50 and the nitros put him down no problem
I have an SBE 1 24" barrel and have always shot 3.5" Nitros with good results ,but now I shoot the 3" Nitros due to tmj issues and still very impressed with how the 3" shells pattern . I was very satisfied with The recomendations from Nitos Test Pattern Page for my gun . To answer your question I have misjudged the distance a few times and the Turkeys never flopped.
Yes, mine with 28" bbl and several nitro loads is over 200 at 40 yards through Rhino. Plenty for 50 yard kills. :happy0064:
I can for sure, with all certainty, guarantee from multiple experiences, that Nitro h51013a's in a Benelli Nova with the rhino choke will have enough energy to kill a turkey at 70yrds.....oops I mean 50 yrds.
Great combo. I shoot the 2 7/16 straight 7's and a Rhino .670 and put up 330's-340's in the 10" at 40 yards.
