Title: Rem 1100 help!
Post by: chrmayo on February 02, 2012, 10:10:31 PM
My grandad has always used his old 835 but last July he had triple bypass surgery. He wants us to set his old 1100 up. Really wants to use 2 3/4 but will use 3 if he has to. What choke and load do you guys suggest? Thanks in advance

Is it a 12 or 20? I had a quadruple by-pass in May of 2011 and have shot 30-06 , 1 2 ga 3" with no problem. If he is shooting 12 or 20 there are H-13 loads
in 2 3/4 loads. Distance and pattern are key ingredients here along with his comfort level.

If this is a 20 you will be fine with the 3 inch.   Get you a HV-13 or federal HV and you kill them at 40 with low recoil.
