I went outside tonight to practice on my gobbling for the GNCC and my first gobble was answered by another gobble. Most of you are thinking it was Buddy but no no. It was a wild turkey. My second gobble was answered by 3 more gobblers. Yes thats right I had 3 different gobblers answering my gobbles at 8:00 pm. These turkeys are already getting fired up for spring.

Nice!
Sweet! Now only 8 1/2 more weeks
Started hearing the first gobblers a little over a week ago here. Spring can't come fast enough.
Went to KS. over the weekend and on Sun. a.m we heard a lot of gobbling.
as much as I love hearing one fire off I'm glad I haven't heard one yet this year. It is hard enough for me to concentrate at work as it is but if I heard one I'd have to go on short term disability.
We've had one gobble 2 mornings in a row while ice fishing here in MI, right at day break. Gobbled just one time each day.

There are no turkeys in Alabama so the sounds I have heard for the past month are other hunters or birds acting like gobblers.
