I borrowed this from a buddy this afternoon. I am trying to decide if I like it enough to buy it. What are everyones thoughts on using them during the season? Do you use a gobble call enough to justify buying one of these or any type of gobble calls? I think it can have a realistic sound ( mines needs work) but I just can't decide. You guys help me make my decision!!

sounds pretty good to me :funnyturkey:
Sounds pretty good, but not quite there yet. I think you are very close. Probably a little more practice and you will be ready to hit the woods. How much practice did you put in before you made that video? I'm considering buying one, but not sure yet how hard it is to use.

I picked the call up at my buddies house at 5:00 pm tonight. It was the first time i had seen the call. It's a little different. I probably spent 30 minutes just trying to roll my tongue right. They say in the how to video on youtube to use a "machine gun" sound like you would when you were a kid. Its very different. I would say I have 1-1/2 maybe 2 hours in blowing it.
...I think you are darn-near nailing it... Sound's more closer to a jake gobble, but a gobble is a gobble... with a little more practice you may get the sound baffling technique perfected..enough to sound like a boss gobbler... You'll fool the birds with it and that's all that counts.
It sounded good to me.
I've been debating the same thing.. ive been trying to gobble on the mouth call effectively for 2 years and this call really interests me but the price is a bit steap. I know the demo video it sounds awesome but I wasnt sure how user friendly it was going to be. keep us updated on the learning curve and whether you find it worth the $$$ I got a lot of other gear and tags to buy first so I'll probably wait a while and see what kind of buzz is going once more ppl try it out as several states have season well before mine.
I hope you don't use that around Carey Cash he might shoot you. LOL!!!
I thought it sounded like you were starting to get the hang of it, sounds good!! We need to start planning a trip, give me a call when you get time.

Sounds pretty good. :turkey2:
It sounds pretty good. The front of the gobble doesn't sound right to me for some reason. I actually think the reverberation cadence is too fast. I thought the same thing about the Haint demo video. I would love to hear it 50-75 yards away in the woods. I definitely think it will fool a bird.
WTH ! what video did you all watch I must of seen a different one. LOL Just being honest.

agreed, id really like to hear it in person and at distance in the woods. sound high pitched and really fast for an actual gobble.. that being said it sounds better than a shaker that makes the sound of someone wringing a jakes neck.

I wanted to try a video of me doing it from about 50 yards away but didn't get off in time to do it today. Maybe this weekend I can set up a camera.

I definitely need some work on it but eventually i'll catch on to the right sound.... Thanks for being honest!
