Title: Enclosed reed howler in Cocobola
Post by: woodwzrd on January 29, 2012, 05:38:10 PM
I have been working on these howlers for a while now. After some guidance from a fellow callmaker and a lot of messing with internals and toneboard tuning I finally got it. I was telling a guy about them a few weeks ago and he showed up with a piece of cocobola scrap left over from a gun stock he made a few years back. The scrap was big enough to get two of these howlers and an open reed distress out of. This is the first of the three calls. Hope he likes it.

The flip side with a little sap wood
