Thinking about switching from the mag blends to the 2 1/4 hevi 7's. Killed 4 birds stone dead from 7 yards, 43 yards, 53 yards and 56 yards with the mag blends last year and love the patterns. Already patterned with the 7's and yes the patterns are better. Are the 7's good to mid 50 yard ranges?
havnt tried them yet but from seeing pics on here of pass thru of pellets at 45-50 yards i have no doubts :icon_thumright:
Well read this and see what 1/4oz less of 7's will do.

They will kill farter than most of us feel comfortable shooting.
Why dont you just go pattern the Mag Blends at 50yds and see if you still have the pattern density you need to take that shot and not change your combo?
Edit- I see you already killed birds at 53 and 56 yards with the Blends.... you think you'll kill them more dead at that range with the 7's than you did with the Blends?
If Ive got a proven combo at 50yds...Im probably done searching for greener pastures :smiley-char092:
I like the mag blends but the patterns are better with the 7's. Those mag blends are the hardest kicking shell  besides a Nitro I have ever fired.
Yes

SKFOOTER...I didn't want to start any crap with my reply to your post....sorry!! >:(
And we sure do not need to hear the story of that hunt.... :icon_thumright:
DEAD GOBBLER!!! :z-winnersmiley:
No offense taken. And I would not advocate shooting a turkey at that distance. But they just weren't gonna come any closer. All but one finally walked off. I decided to take a shot at the one that stayed. He got to ride in the back of my truck. :turkey2:
Well I know now that they work at 30 yards! :z-winnersmiley:
My best all around bird ever an Osceola 21 1/2 lbs. 10 1/2 inch beard and 1 5/8 inch spurs!
That is a 3 1/2 inch Hevi 13 7 shot shell beside the spurs.
Thanks for all the info guys which lead me to try these shells!
