Title: Hevi-Shot Magnum Blend 5, 6, 7's 20 Ga.
Post by: Eric Gregg on January 25, 2012, 04:39:40 PM
I have heard a lot of good things about the straight 7's, but does anyone use the magnum blend Hevi-Shot 5,6,7's?

Thanks

My sons charles daily pump with .572 undertaker ported choke put 202 in a 10 inch circle @ 30 yards. I want to shoot it at 40 to see what kind of numbers it will put up.

i use he magnum 5,6,7, hevi-13's last season in a lil' 20 ga. mossberg 500 i got in on a trade and i tell ya , at 40 yards the lil'20 turned the gobbler a back flip and layed him down good. not a movement after he hit the ground. i'm a believer in the magnum now .i'll be packing the 20 this year too

I shot a few the other day in my CZ with a Trulock .581. I was not very impressed the best it would do was 104 in 10 @ 40. It probably averaged mid 80's.

I picked up a couple boxes of Mag Blend's a while back to try. Been shooting straight 7's. If I can get somewhere around 110 at 40 with the blends I'll give 'em a chance on a bird. Gonna wait until we get some more 70 degree days before I pattern them though.
