Just seeing if there are any others on here that have or do participate in the wounded warrior hunts???? these hunts are one of the greatest things i have ever done, i have participated in these hunts for the past 4 years at Quantico Marine Corps Base. Theres nothing better than spending a couple days in the woods and listing to some of the stories that these guys have, then you add in calling in a bird (some being their first turkey hunt) and you get to see the excitement that we all are addicted to..theres nothing better!!!
That's something I'd like to do one day. For any service member, but especially a fellow Marine
I did one on my own. I didnt go through any organization. I posted something up on another message board I was on about getting something together and one of the members had several thousands acres and gave us permission to take two hunters. I got in touch with the right people and found two hunters that I could take. I got one guy a fine longbeard. i called in one for the second guy, but he couldnt get the shot. He settled for a jake I called in later.
It was a great experience for me. Id do it every year if I could.
One of my black Labradors and I participated in a Wounded Warriors pheasant hunt here in Iowa back in November. It was a very rewarding experience.
I plan on helping out again this coming November.

Guiding a wounded warrior hunt in Maryland this year.
What date is the one at quantico? Id be up up for participating in another one.
I personally know the founder of an organization called Hunters Helping Soldiers that specializes in that sort of thing. If your interested in donating/guiding a hunt let me know and I will put you in contact with someone that can make it happen.
They are doing one down in my area and I was asked help call turkeys. It will be fun.
Done the wounded warrior hunt the last couple of year up in NY, last year we took two hunters and its always a blast :you_rock:
Also take a lot of youth hunters out anc call for them.
Out here Cooke Canyon a private pheasant hunting and dog training club does some Wounded warriors free hunts and members bring them in from fort Lewis and provide dogs and guns for the day with a nice meal to boot. Great service to our heroes!!!!
May 5th and 6th me and my hunting buddy will Have two Vets from the WW program out with us. We save a specific farm that is easy to get into for them and dont hunt til the weekend of the hunt.
More excited for that weekend that the opener, the winter flock up there right now has about 100 birds eating in 80 acres of unharvested corn fields because of a fall flood that kept the farmer out. those birds are going to be Fat!!!
