OK...I know what the warning on the choke package says...don't use the federal flight control shells through this choke. My question is this....Is it because Federal says don't use a ported choke or have they just not got good consistent patterns from this combo.
I would like to hear from you guys that have had experience shooting this combo. I have shot this combo a number of times, even the Federals through another ported choke with GREAT results.
What has been your findings: not consistent or just scared you'll crack the choke?
My buddy shoots that combo out of an 870 20 gauge with pretty impressive results... I'm thinking he was in the 140's at 40 yards.
I use that combo some since that is my choke of choice with my TSS also and it patterns great with the HW7.
Was told by someone on the phone at IC that it says that on the package only because Fed says that but it will not harm the choke at all and they also have seen great patterns with this combo.
