Title: Hevi-shot 3.5 2.25 #7's
Post by: teke on January 23, 2012, 08:03:47 PM
Had to try them in SX3 with 28"bbl. BDS .665 240 in 10" at 40yds. lasered. Pattern was a little low and left. It was 60 degrees and very windy. Will try again this weekend. POA POI hasn't been an issue with Kent's. Hope it was me and the wind as I only shoot the bead. High numbers don't mean much if they don't hit where there aimed.

I can tell you this, the same shell through my X-2 and a 690 rhino will put 300+ every shot in a 10 at 40. I crushed 4 gobblers last year with the 3.5 shells, and 7 with the 3" #7's. The ranges were from 13 out to 44 yds. The #7 are the real deal.  Sounds like you just need some fine tuning, keep at it...

300 is great. I would tickled with 240 if POI  wasn't low left. Do you have a scope on your X2 Fullfan?

My POA/POI impact was off as well with the 3.5 HTL. Straightened it out with tru-too adjustable iron sights.I like the visibility better and a less expensive option than a scope, mounts, rings etc.
