Title: Deer Problems
Post by: Crappiepro on January 23, 2012, 07:05:49 AM
Well, its 6am or so here and I was up starting my day. I decide to step out on the deck and enjoy a cup of coffee and the 50degree weather we have before it drops today.
The old lady 86yrs(not elderly by no means lol) that lives across the road from me was out too. She has motion sensor lights on the side of here house and all 3 lights were on and she was yelling and cussing, at first I was concerned about what was going on but then I seen the problem.
She has about 15 bird feeders 6 of which are on that one side of her house with all the lights on. She was out there yelling and cussing the deer that knocked over the feeders and was eating the seeds, I could see the deer silowets in the light and they didn't seem to mind all the yelling and cussing LOL. She really gave to 'em too. The 6 deer I could see just kind walked out of the light and she went back in the house LOL.

I just looked out again 20 minutes later and those 3 lights are on and the deer right back at it LOL. I guess I'll be getting some bird feeders, I wouldn't mind having that problem LOL.

I have the same problem, my back yard is 200 acers an when we plant a garden we have to plant some for us and some for the deer. what's strange is i have never hunted back there, have belonged to hunt club and drive 70 miles to hunt.

Have same problem myself, planted strawberries amd have not harvested one single berry off of them in 5 years, pretty slim pickings for anything else I plant once the deer get their feed.

I wish I had your problems. I would have to get another freezer after I took care of it.
