i hear you guys saying oh i put 200-250 even 300 pellets in a 10'' circle at 40 yards ,,

so my question is how many shots are you shooting to get this or is this bird shot because a turkey shell dont have that many shot in one shell

This is from one shell. The minimum standard to go by is to get 100 evenly spaced pellets in a 10" circle at 40 yards.
Modern heavier than lead shells (Hevi-13, Winchester XRHD, Mag Blends) are able to get close to 200 pellets or more in a 10" circle with the right choke and gun combo.

1 shot lots more pellets than you think in a shell

If you are using #2 or buckshot.....no there's not that many pellets, but in my Winchester XRHD #6, I believe the pellet count is around 400

The majority of the folks you hear shooting 300+ in a 10in @ 40 are shooting 7's. The guys shooting TSS 8's and 9's really turn some high numbers. Hevi 13. 3/2/7's have 508 pellets.  Hevi 13 3.5/2.25/7's have 572 pellets in a shell. Makes 300+ seem a little more possible when you know the actual pellet quantity.
