Title: The Haint Gobble Call
Post by: Footballer on January 17, 2012, 02:23:00 PM
This is a new gobbler call from Down-N-Dirty. I've never heard any gobble call sound as realistic as this one! What do you guys think?

I think gobbling in the woods is a good way to meet an undertaker sooner than you want too. Very dangerous in my opinion and the question YOU have to ask yourself "is it worth it?"

Yeah Ive watched both the instructional video and the promo video each twice and agree it is the most realistic gobble call that has been produced.

I like the idea, I wonder how 'easy' it is to learn and use. I know it looks easy but so does the videos of guys who can gobble with mouth calls and I cant get the hang of that after two years of trying. Still a reed style call seems like the ticket for a realistic gobble call and I have no doubt that it could truely be a back pocket ace in the hole call. I would NOT recommend it to anyone who hunts public, shares access to land, or in high pressure areas.

Im considering the call, about 80% of my hunting is done on private property where I know there will be noone else on days im in there and it could be used within reason farely safely.

Still $50 is a lot for any turkey call, especially one that you are not going to want to pull out and use on a daily basis.

Be curious to see what you guys think about it I tried one at a shop I deal with. I couldn't work it but I didnt get to watch instructional video. As easy as those guys make it look on you tube it probably was something I was doing wrong. Speaking of down n dirty I saw today Eddie salter left hs strut and went with these guys.

My hunting buddy bought two of them and loaned me one.  I can't blow the thing worth a darn, but my buddy is sounding pretty good.  I think it's going to be a tough call to learn but there is always people who can figure it out.  I'd like to get the hang of it but for now I'll have to stick with my tube for gobbling.

It's hard to beat a turkey tube to gobble on no doubt! Like I said I could have been running it wrong cause the guys on the clip got it down pat!

Maybe they will use it in the Gobbling contest at the Grand Nationals.

I like to gobble on a box call or a real raspy mouth call but diffently something you don't do everyday in the turkey woods.
