Title: Kansas Rio 2010
Post by: Cove on February 18, 2011, 07:42:49 PM
This was the last bird of 2010, late May in Kansas. It was the 4th bird of the trip. This longbeard gobbled on his own up in the open prairies, we positioned ourselves in a creek bottom a couple hundred yards away and I started some subtle calling which turned the whole flock our way. This was my buddy Mark's first trip out west. He's now hooked! :you_rock:

;D I jumped on the shot myself. I had no idea that bird was in range, when he pulled the trigger.
