I'm looking to get a new box call before the season and would like to get one from one of the guys on here. I don't want to put you guys on the spot but I would like some opinions on which maker to go with. Something in the range of $50-$75. Maybe some ideas on wood combinations. Although I carry and use every kind of call, I primarily use a box and a tube.
I'm sure you can find what you're looking for in the classifieds. Anyone selling their calls here will guarantee your satisfaction. Good luck!

Gobblez is being modest here. I have one of his long box calls, it's the best sounding box I own and I currently have 7 total to compare.
I can help you out with one if you are still interested, I just made a few a couple weeks ago and posted some pics of them in the call making section. P.M. me if you are interested or would like to know more about the calls and I charge 75 tyd.
Thanks for the input guys. I know there are several great call makers on here and I'm sure I would be tickled with any of them.
theres none better than no bull custom calls
Brookside has some pre-cut kits so you make your own if you'd like. They just need some final sanding and finishing:

I love my SS field grade box. Al and Josh make some outstanding calls and the price on the field grade call is tough to beat for a handmade, custom call.

Get a pee wee paddle call from Tim at No Bull Custom Calls.
You won't be disappointed, a very versatile box caller. :icon_thumright:
I have a gibson from willowridge calls that I make sure is always in my vest.
Very versitile, and sounds all turkey! :icon_thumright:
I will second that with a willowridge gibson, it will really reach out when needed. Also Jerry Zebro from Wisconsin makes an awesome short glued box for $40. His box calls just took first and second place at the midwest convention. Scoot

Jerry has won Midwest call compition the last three years with his long box, short box and this year his single sided box call. And trust me when I say they are awesome! I've judged calls at Midwest for 10 years now and he has been cleaning up for multiple years! Very reasonably priced and one heck of a modest guy who will make sure you get one great box call at a price and quality you can't hardly beat. If you are or any one is interested pm me and I'll forward his phone number to you. Good luck with which every call you decided on!
