One less dirt bag to deal with.
We had the same thing happen in Henderson, NC a few days ago. Two individuals broke into a house with a 14 and 17 year old inside. While the 17 year old girl called the police, the 14 year old boy grabbed a shotgun. The boy proceeded to shoot one of the intruders in the chest with buckshot when he came around a corner inside the home. The police arrived 5 minutes later and found the bleeding intruder in the front yard. The intruder that was shot, died on the way to the hospital. The second intruder fled the scene but was later apprehended. The dead intruder was only 19 but had an extensive rap sheet with trespass, assault, affray, bodily injury and property damage charges.
An Unfortunate but Happy Ending for a Brother and Sister at home during Christmas Break. By the way, another Breaking and Entering during broad Daylight (happened around 10 am).

I tell my wife to 1st get the gun, then get the phone (dont worry about the phone unless its on her way to the gun), shoot the intruder(s), and then make phone calls.
