Who's eatin' black-eyed peas, fried apples and hog jowl............Me!
Been our traditional New Year meal for as long as I can remember.

Fried chicken mased potatos, buscuits and gravey and black eyed peas. MMMM MMMMM Good.

It's the cheek meat and you fry it just like bacon. Tastes way better than bacon though!

Pork roast with gravy, mashed potatos, sauerkraut and fried green beans with bacon. MMMMM....... good!

Corned beef with potatoes and carrots. Cranberry (whole berries) and pi co de gayo home made.

We just finished out New Year's lunch. We had mashed taters, greenbean casserole, with oven baked chicken breast. It was awesome.

Around here it's black eyed peas and cabbage.  I hate cabbage.

Hard to beat hog jowl and pinto beans with corn bread and fried taters.

Made up a huge cooker of cabbage, taters, carrots, onions and a whole jowl for my parents last week. They're 96 and 89 and they love their boiled dinner!
