...Did a little experimentin' out in the garage while the in-laws were down for the holidays. ::)
Thought I'd take these shot shell yelpers a step or two farther by extracting the plastic hulls and just using the brass base of the shell..
Then I used some unique cane pieces I had on hand and hit them with a coat of red mahogany stain...

I think they turned out nice! Especially the one with the curved end. It plays great and the curve adds a distinct quality to the sound..

..Thanks!.. Kinda has an "Alpine Horn" look to it... I try to choose cane that has unique characteristics to it when I can. This one turned out to be the best one so far.
