Here is a caller headed to the heart of Texas to a guide who is a women and the wife of a guide who I sent a call to 7 months ago. She recently achieved her guide license and he wanted to give her a perfect gift--well I agree. This is Walnut over hard cherry with redheart-maple-redheart spacers and curly maple end blocks set on a walnut base. The left rail carries a long smooth stroke that carries a classic yelp starting high and rolls sharply to a super raspy finish. The right rail is a bit, though not much higher pitched and it isn't quite as raspy with a slightly smoother yelp finish. Hope she puts the hammer down on a bunch of longbeards. Her husband said to burn Star Gazer Lilies (her favorite flowers) on one side and a turkey on the other..well I thought two frisky gobblers out cruising for hens looked good along an old fence line.
