I'm gonna start the annual grouse season soon since deer season is leaving for a few months and I'm not much of a bird hunter. I took my BPS 12 out today and shot the three factory chokes with a few different cheap loads. Not having much luck with a decent pattern. Was hoping some of you upland bird hunters could help me out. Thanks :policeman:
Modified choke is what I use dont have the same gun but is what I used in all my 12 gauge for grouse.

We don't have grouse here but I use an improved cylinder for quail and pheasants. Have you "deep cleaned" your barrel. That will help you with your patterns.
Thanks,

No. I haven't yet. Planning to do that soon. I was thinking an aftermarket tube as well. Any suggestions on a maker? Also do you think hevi shot is too much for upland game?
Put you a LM in it and get you some Nobel Sport or Rio top sport. You smoke em.
I've used Improved Cylinder with success. Most shots are fairly close and in thick cover where I've done my grouse hunting.
