Title: Hunting mallards in corn fields?
Post by: MarkJM on December 16, 2011, 11:06:56 AM
Hey guys, I am new to duck hunting and was wondering if you can hunt mallards in corn fields just like geese? There is a small pond near the corn field so they would have water and a food supply. Do many of you set of for mallards in the corn fields?

You bet you can!!!  Some of the best hunts I've ever had has been in fields.  Get yourself a couple doz full bodies and a spinner or two and they will just dump in there...a couple of quacks on the call is all you will need and they will be tips down...cupped and committed!!  Get covered up and get cha some!!!
