Title: Christmas Presents
Post by: Ferguson on December 11, 2011, 07:47:27 PM
I've been trying to get the callers done I've promised to be ready for Christmas. Here's a few Ol'Fence posts I got finished this weekend. The glare don't let the coffe table art detail show very well.

This picture with a sunrise background don't do this caller justice

Great job as usual David ! Excellent use of the creamy grain ! Is that some of that 540 year old cedar ? Beautiful workmanship !

Thanks folks for all the comments. As everyone does, I enjoy reading the comments.

No Bob, the calls with the light streaks are fence posts from the old Stringer place on the Current River here just north of the house. There is one that is dark and no light color that is of that old cedar.

David , I should have guessed that . The grain is so tight in that old cedar snag that you can't count the lines . Those old fenceposts make for some nice calls bud !  :icon_thumright:
