I have a mossberg 500 and I am looking to add an aftermarket choke to it. For those of you who have used this gun any recommendations on a choke for turkeys? I was thinking jellyhead but any suggestions would be appreciated from those of you who have knowledge on this one.
Thanks
Leo

Hey Leo,
You have a very wide choice of chokes to use in your Mossberg 500 and most will work very well. I've seen excellent results with the Pure Gold, Wright's (Limited production), Hevi-13, SSX and the new JEB's chokes.
Regardless of the choke, I've had best results with 3" Hevi-13 "Bronze" shells 2 oz. of either #6 or #7 shot.
Lastly, a "deep cleaned" barrel will help any combination.
Thanks,
Clark
Is that for your 20 ga. Leo ?
Go with something in the 560 to 565 rang from what I see works. Our chokes we have 2 diffrent ones. Now I see the Indian Creek and Prue Gold guys with good turn outs also.

Yes
For a Mossberg 20 gauge, the best I've seen is the Swarm but they are back ordered for several months currently, as is the "Ambush" turkey choke. The Pure Gold is good, I prefer the .555 and there is a new choke that will be introduced after the first of the year that is also excellent.
I've also had good patterns from the Hevi-13 turkey choke and the Trulock.
Lots of choices for your gun.
Thanks,
Clark
