Title: VA boys...
Post by: Holston on December 08, 2011, 09:38:12 PM
Reading and searching through some posts here about guns, calls, etc., I've noticed that there are quite a few from VA.

What part yall from?

I'm in Washington Co.  (Think extreme SW VA close to Bristol VA/TN for those who may not know where Wash. Co is.)

How's the fishing at Smith Mtn. Lake?

Was thinking of taking the wife there for a long weekend this spring.

Holston,
We were once neighbors.  I grew up and went to school in Chilhowie.  Still have family there but have lived in Eastern NC for the last 35 plus years.  Grew up Fishing for trout in the South Fork of the Holston River and Hunting the Jefferson National Forest and surrounding areas of Smyth County.  I must say, it brings back Very Fond Memories.  Merry Christmas to You and Yours!!!!

We would have been neighbors, had I been a little older.

I'm actually from Saltville, but live in Washington Co. now.

I'm not from Holston, but use that name because I spend so much time in Holston River and Lake.

I have a cousin that just moved to that area.

How's the turkey population there?

He's been in duck/fish mode since he moved last year and I can't get any answers about him regarding turkeys.
