Here is a picture of the mount I made for my wifes first turkey. It is made out of walnut. My buddy is a call maker and has given me access to his shop to make these mounts. The design is from the beginings of a pot call. The center hole can be filled with a dowl, brass fiting or even the primer from your shell. The spurs and beard are suspended from leather straps glued into the brass from the shell she harvested the bird with. THe wood has been sanded and polished. There are several finishes I will be working with (rough polished to fine gloss) I am unsure about cost. The price i was tossing around is being touted as WAY TO LOW for the work. My price wont include shipping. I need to see if this endevor will get enough response before I begin producing them. Is anyone interested?
