Just got back after climbing trees and stomping the woods for 2 weeks. Seen a total of 5 deer. Wound up with 2 puppies in the freezer. Very slow indeed. Still got a good chance to get something more substantial.Gun season runs til Nov.30th. Then its back to archery, muzzle loader, and late antlerless to finish out the year. I know we got some big boys running around cause I found more scrapes and rubs than ever before.
Kamski did get a dandy doe,as did one of the neighbors. Also my SIL John shot his best buck. His father has some health issues and John ,who lives in the big buck capital of Michigan decided to forgo hunting there and traveled up north to help his dad hunt instead. After setting his Dad up he went to his spot and this is his reward, How sweet is that.
Nov. 16th 8:30 am. 7mm Mag. 60 yards.
8 point. 165 lbs dressed. 18 3/4 spread. unofficially scored B&C 144.
Taken on State Land in Montmorency County.
Took 3rd on the buck pole.
Do you think he's happy ?
