Pretty good day in the piney woods of North La. Called up a decent 8 Saturday morn in not so ideal weather(warm and muggy). Smacked him at 80yds with a 130TTSX from my 270WSM faux TI.

That eve Dad topped me with a dandy 11pt. Despite being short sleeve and skeeter slapping weather, this rascal chased a doe across a wide open clear cut at 4:30 in the eve. He gave him a loud bleat at 100 yds, where he paused to take the 140grn NPT from the 7 Roy through the shoulders. A short 80yd trail later and there he lay. I had to leave my stand early when he said 11. Don't happen too often in those parts. In fact, this is the biggest buck our family has taken on this property in the 50+ years deer have been around that particular area.

You would know the good cam is at the house when we pile a couple bucks up. The cell had to do the deed.
Now if we could just get our neighbors to quit shooting every dink that walks by.
Proof positive that passing dinks can work even on smallish properties.
