Check your local listings for a PBS / Nature program which airs tonight @ 8:00 pm 11/16/11, in my area on Joe Hutto, Illumination In the Flatwoods.
The program is about Hutto's year with a brood of turkeys he hatched and imprinted on which was the basis of his phenomenal book published in 1995. The book will change the way you view and hunt turkeys forever.

Saw it also and it is a great show well worth watching.
Someone posted it here a couple months back. It is a riveting show and I want to read the book.
If I remember right, and that is always questionable, someone had the link on here, and I watched it on my computer..

Thanks for the heads-up.Years ago I watched a PBS show on a guy that went to Alaska to live by himself. He filmed himself everyday as he built a cabin and lived off the land. The site is now a state park.I bought a book and dvd about it.It was very educational.
I saw that one, as well. That guy had to be half nuts..

anyone have the link to this show
It was removed from the internet a few weeks ago -at least the link I had.
If you missed it like I did, was at church, then it is playing again at 1:00 am. DVR is set. :)
It was a good show, and a great book. It really gives incredible insight to the life of a turkey from egg to maturation!
One of my favorite reads. I'll be picking mine up to re- read soon.
I also want to add my thanks for the heads up. I had never seen it and probably would have missed it again. It was both informative and visually stunning.
I had it DVR'd and when I got home from my meeting I went to see if it ws recorded. It had started recording 12 minutes late. About that time my wife said hey I recorded a show for you. I told her I knew about it and that I had set it to record already. I don't know what happened but I missed the first 12 minutes. Dang it. I did hear a little bit of it and was surprised that they had dubbed in some sounds that were not coming from the turkeys. I guess thats TV. I can relate to this whole experience because I've been there a few times.

Watched last night. It was very interesting and definitely gives you a new look at the wild turkey. Cannot wait to read the book! The wife was even enjoying it. :)
I'm so glad I taped it so I can watch it again!

I thought it was pretty good so I saved it to my computer. I'm glad I did because it was removed due to copyright issues.
Any videos I see on youtube that I like, I save to my computer, because videos come and videos go on youtube. Use keepvid to save them.

The book is on my list.
