Title: 935 scope mounting
Post by: BHhunter on November 15, 2011, 04:15:32 PM
Got my new Mossy 935. Mounted my scope and found that the front rail mounting screws push down on the "liner" inside the action, which in turns jams the action. It jams it tight enough it will not move. Anyone know, do they make shorter screws for mounting the scope rail, or another option, should that liner be drilled also so the screws go into it?
Nothing is a simple task for me. >:(

What brand of rail do you have (weaver, deadnutz)?

if the screws go all the way through the receiver then the extra threads are pointless...grind them down

The older bases used to be MUCH THICKER than the new ones and yours is probably a newer one but with screws for the old ones in the package...

Coming soon, gotta work all this into holiday prep and deer hunting. It is a Bada$$ looking setup. Reminds me of a T-shirt I saw one time that said "Life's too short to hunt with an ugly gun."

I should have time today. Just got the scope remounted and bore sighted yesterday.
