anyone here use a stoeger M2000 been reading up on it and it looks like a good deal but was wondering if anyone uses one i need something kinda light to carry and reliable for around 6-700 dollars found one on our local gun site for 375 with two stocks a sporter and steady grip any info you guys give will be greatly appreciated
I sold guns for about a decade. In that time, except for the Rossi's, I have seen more of the M-2000's come back with problems than any other gun (got out of retail before rem. made the 887). I had one before I really got to know the model and it litterally ate itself inside of 250 rounds of standard 2.75" loads and I took VERY GOOD care of that gun. I found we had between 10-25% of the M-2000s come back with some kind of issue. For the kind of money you posted, you could get he M-3500, which is a MUCH BETTER gun than the M-2000, the Mossberg 930, a simply outstanding gun for the money, the Mossberg 935, which is capable of throwing some IMPRESSIVE patterns with turkey loads, or maybe even the Benelli M-2 American, which is just a more basic version of the comfort tech M-2 and with fewer factory chokes. In short, you can do better than the M-2000...
thank you for the info as a matter of act i purchased a moss.935WF last night black syn. 26'' barrel
for about 475 out the door brand new i shot it a few times this morning after cleaning it up and i really like it so far cant wait to get a few chokes and loads to put some shot down the barrel
I think you will like the 935 a lot. When I come across a deal on a 22" or 24" it will be mine. I would try the Indian Creek. My 835 shot the nitro and magblends through the IC very well.
A Pure Gold, Jellyhead, or Sumtoy would throw some great patterns in that gun. I have an 835 and with a Star Dot choke and 3" Magblends I get 176 hits at 40 yards in 10". Very happy with it.
our local pawn shop has an 835 with a kicks gt ;) choke in it im going to try and get that choke if i can and will likely buy one from someone on here
