Title: Pure Gold choke cleaning?

I just bought a gently used .670 Pure Gold turkey choke that was filthy when it arrived. Question: how do you folks clean those small, angled port holes up front? Is hand-tightening this choke enough? There does not seem to be a way to wrench-tighten it. Thanks for your help...

Hand tightening is all that is needed, just check between shots to make sure it's secure.

You can clean it any of a number of ways. For a choke with built-up carbon or plastic residue, you can soak it in any good solvent or even lacquer thinner, let it do the work, and then just brush out with a brass or bronze brush. You can use a pipe cleaner on the ports if necessary or use a brush, an old tooth brush, or a similar brush with bass teeth. The choke is 17-4 PH stainless that has been blackened, so it's a very tough choke tube.
