Title: No fall turkey season here, but deer season opened with a bang today.

8:39 this morning.  125 1/8".  Dressed 135 lbs.  Not a monster but I'm tickled.  Respectable by E. TX standards.  Biologist checked him at processing facility, 3.5 yrs. old.

Thanks folks.  Took him with a Browning A-Bolt II 25.06 with Winchester Supreme Ballistic Tip Silvertips.  My first buck with the high shoulder shot.  Dropped him right in his tracks at 140 yards.  I BELIEVE in the drop shot now.  Notice he was in a gas pipeline?  No tracking job that morning! :icon_thumright:
