Title: Skunk!
Post by: chatterbox on October 23, 2011, 04:18:14 AM
Me and Harrison were walking out of the woods when I saw something over in another field.
I said to him, lets go check that out.
Well upon further review, it was not something that was dead, but smelled dead. A skunk was sitting there right in the middle of that field!
Fortunately, we just got warned, and not sprayed!

We've had WAY too many nights where the essence o' skunk hung heavy in the air lately.  A news article said it was their breeding season...  I'm still trying to figure out how that smell enhances breeding...

Glad you didn't get the "spa treatment" from him.  ;D

We have had "odur de skunk" at our place for the last several mornings and evenings and as we've traveled in the last couple of weeks, we've seen more than the usual number of dead skunks in the middle of the road.

I did not know that it was breeding season but that may well explain it.

I also heard recently that the population is much higher than just a few years ago and I am now a believer.

Thanks,
Clark
