Title: Spalted Sassafras
Post by: handcannon on October 18, 2011, 02:19:56 AM
This was my last piece of spalted sassafras. It sure turned out right. Patterned it after the call I made for Flydown. It's a 3.5" slate with out a soundboard. Looking at the call, I couldn't think of but one person to give it to. My Momma! Yep, the woman loves to turkey hunt and I have yet to build her a pot call so this was her birthday present. Happy Birthday Momma!

(Maybe next year while I'm at work, she wont send me a picture of a turkey she killed with a production call sitting in front!)

Thanks guys. I appreciate it.

Stone Road, it sounds great. It's got lots of volume if you need it but can also drop down to some sweet purring action. Little bit of rasp on the breakover. Thinking I'm gonna have to make myself one now.
