Title: FF2 and shurshot stock
Post by: bunk on September 30, 2011, 10:01:51 AM
I'm wanting to get a FF2 for my 870 and I need some opinions on mounts. I have a shurshot stock which has the high comb. With this stock I can not get down on the rib good because of the high comb. I know that the 336 mount is lower profile and I like the looks of it better but will it be higher than the beed sight. I wouldn't want to get my gun drilled and tapped for the 336 and find out it's to low for my stock. Anyone using the 336 with the shurshot stock help me out.

Thanks for your reply. It looks like it'll work fine with this stock. Thanks again.

One more question. Is the 336 mount flat on the bottom or does it have a contour to it? In the pic above it almost looks contoured to fit the receiver.

The 336 mount is flat on the bottom, that set-up should work well with your stock.
