I'm wanting to get a FF2 for my 870 and I need some opinions on mounts. I have a shurshot stock which has the high comb. With this stock I can not get down on the rib good because of the high comb. I know that the 336 mount is lower profile and I like the looks of it better but will it be higher than the beed sight. I wouldn't want to get my gun drilled and tapped for the 336 and find out it's to low for my stock. Anyone using the 336 with the shurshot stock help me out.
I have an ff2 with marlin 336 mount and protector(GOBBLER74) on it and it works fine with the shurshot stock on my 870 remington 12ga.
